After seeing Basket Case more times than I care to admit, I just cannot explain how a film featuring a misshapen homicidal lump of flesh can be this interesting? (Can you say, "OFFBEAT"!?) The acting is poor and the special effects are some of the worst ever.

Perhaps my expectations were set too low. (You know, that has to be it.)

Revenge is the order-of-the-day after three doctors make a late-night house call to remove a mutated appendage from the side of Duane Bradley (Kevin VanHentenryck). When the "lump" (a.k.a. his brother Belial) is tossed out to the trash, the boys communicate via ESP and plot to kill all responsible parties.

Wow! An incredulous plot, some sloppy claymation... I'll bet you can't wait to see this one.

Admittedly this gore fest is not for everyone, but to many - including myself - it is as entertaining as it is stomach-turning.
