Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie star in this suspense-thriller crafted in the tradition of The Silence of the Lambs and Seven. While it is not as good as either of those films, it isn't all bad either.

Tension builds as a deranged cab driver abducts and murders unsuspecting passengers, then elaborately sets up the crime scenes where detectives find the bodies and clues to the killer's crimes. But like so many of the today's thrillers, The Bone Collector is much too predictable, right down to its gory climax.

The one unique story element in this case is that Washington's character, Lincoln Rhyme, is a quadriplegic homicide detective. Can the crippled cop overcome his immobility and expose the senseless killer? (Does Ms. Jolie have big lips?)
