A young boy turns out to be a holy terror for his foster parents. When he is identified as being the Antichrist, all hell breaks loose for all who oppose him.

Fine performances by Gregory Peck and Lee Remick, solid direction by Richard Donner, and an Oscar-winning score by Jerry Goldsmith add up to an outstanding film.

Two inferior, but interesting sequels (Damien-Omen II and The Final Conflict) followed in 1978 and 1981, along with a not-so-good fourth Omen in 1991.
