From log company waste, a monstrous beast spawns and hunts humans in a Maine forest.
Robert Foxworth, Talia Shire and Armand Assante add star power to this mostly-dull and uninspired film - one that I enjoyed much more when I first saw it as a 13-year-old boy. This Prophecy (no relation to the Christopher Walken movies which came later) is probably best known for a scene in which a young camper zips up inside of a sleeping bag. He awakens when the monster appears and is allowed to bounce around for a few seconds just before a giant claw swats him into a tree, sending feathers flying.
Prophecy: The Monster Movie really should have been a lot more fun. A few decent scenes do not make a good creature feature.
