Best Actor and Actress Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster star in Best Director Jonathan Demme's Best Picture.

There is little doubt that Silence of the Lambs was "the best" film of 1991 and one of the most disturbing films ever.

FBI agent-in-training Clarice Starling (portrayed wonderfully by Foster) is assigned to help find a serial killer who skins his young female victims. Through her interviews with the psychopathic genius Hannibal Lecter (Hopkins embodying the role of Hannibal the Cannibal), Starling is able to put the clues together and make some sense of the vicious murders.

Finding the killer is another story. The manhunt grows more intense by the minute.

Demme's masterpiece is more of a crime thriller than a horror flick. Nonetheless, it is just as frightening as any film you will ever see.

The Silence of the Lambs is my all-time favorite movie! It is a brilliant piece of filmmaking.
