Scream is the best horror film I've seen in many a full moon.
It is a much needed shot-in-the-arm for the whole genre of scary movies.
Forget The Hills Have Eyes and Shocker and The People Under the Stairs and even A Nightmare On Elm Street. This time around, Wes Craven has gotten it right. The veteran director leads a terrific young cast through this clever whodunit, (only) masquerading as a teen slasher flick.
I would highly recommend Scream with one reservation - it is NOT for the squemish - and a recommendation - if you have any ideas about who the killer is, keep them to yourself!
